Qurbani (or Udhiyah in Arabic) is the sacrifice of an animal on Eid-ul-Adha. It marks the conclusion of Hajj and honours the tradition of the Prophet Ibrahim (alaihis salaam) who was prepared to sacrifice his son, Ismail (a.s.), for Allah.
